eeks. right now i know how it feels t have your whole blog post gone.
well it's a good thing the original blog post wasnt that long.
anyway, Im back from OBS!
shall try to elaborate as much as possible.

22 Jan.
everybody brought their super huge camping bags to assembly court, and we were all pretty excited.
Found out the members in our watch(we call it a watch), and imma glad all were from 3E7.
same group as nana and nehneh! but sadly stacey wasnt in the group. :/
Piled onto the bus, and a rush of mixed feelings came over me as i thought of what we might get to do.
Reached ponggol jetty , and took a jetty to camp 2.
the day's activities were pretty boring, just team bonding games, and a lil on belaying basics.
we hadta pitch our tents at night every day, and unpitch them by the morn. how fun huh.
cooked dinner at night with solid fuels and mastines, something that i did only on 1 out of the 3 days in GB camp last time.
this time, almost every meal hadta use mastines and pots!. :/
cleared up everything, and went ta sleep.

23 Jan
was day i/c for th day.
felt really guilty for thinking it was 5am already, and i went to call everybody up. turns out it was only 4 am!
got some people kinda pissed. lol
used our belaying skills on an activity called double dangling duo, which is to climb up to th top on wooden logs connected horizontally up by thick metal wires.
partner was BROWN COW ELLI, and we both did the easy and difficult one.
Elli was super supportive and kept asking me to go on, even with me screaming.
hey we were the first to do both ohkayy.
the process up to the top is tiring, but the feeling that each gets when we reach the top is indescribable. :]
went trekking with super heavy backpacks for appro.4 km.
reached a beachy place, and we literally were deprived of basic needs like, AHEM. a toilet.
the day's activities really stretched my comfort zone, where even the basic needs were bare.
dinner didnt fill our stomachs, since it was so windy and the sand most prolly flew into the mastines.
still, God is great and no one fainted or anything.
since there was no toilet, bathing was definitely outta the question. took a powder bath, then slept.

24 Jan.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY FAATS AMELIA . :)
kayaking!
tent member alisa had to be sent home, cos she unfortunately slipped and fell RIGHT before the expedition.
i started to miss her alot, cos she was the person i could turn to for help the most.
i guess it just taught me t be a lil more independent, and not to depend too much on others.
kayaking partners were zhiting and joyce, nd imma glad that they persevered on kayaking for a total of 3 hrs, even with me feeling seasick and thus not helping much with th later half of the journey.
imagine me peeling oranges and throwing the peel into th sea, and tryin na paddle at the same time. ://
reached camp 1, and joy oh joy.
the facitities there were alot better, but the downside was that we still hadta pitch our tents on grass.
dinner fed us well, and we went to sleep.

25 Jan
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STACEY! :)
the day's activities were rather slack, but earlier on in the morn, it poured.
some tents were flooded, and we had to get back all our equipment back to the shelter.
yes, we were drenched trying na retrieve everything.
ate a good breakfast and lunch, and played a game called Raft escape against group raleigh.
Cooperation ,quick thinking and balance was super important, as we faced challenges to make it across the floor.
everybody played a part, no matter big or small, and we made it across first!
trekked back to camp 2 after that.
imma glad to say that the activities that our watch did were actually less physically demanding than most of the groups. I tolly cant imagine myself paddling for 6 hours. imagine the number of oranges i would have eaten.
reached camp 2, unpacked everything, cleared the store, and off to sleep.
it was a spacious tent for just the three of us that night.

26 Jan.
last day!
cleared our tent area in the rain, and cleaned all the equipment.
changed into OBS camp t-shirt. it's black and a really hot color. nyeehahah.
shant elaborate too much, and very soon we assembled together.
tears rolled down my cheeks and i made nehneh feel emo too.
gonna miss tracy who took so good care of us, and guided us to independence.
all good things got to come to an end ey.
back to home sweet home. :]
